I am Joe Gillespie, graphic designer and illustrator.

I grew up drawing, folding 11x17 paper in half and making my own comics. For hours I would sit under my parent's old oak coffee table, designing pages with little boxes for dialogue or large splash pages for only art. I still do this today, only now I call it my career and work with great collegues and clients.

I love my job. Whether its design or illustration, I can't imagine doing anything else. Working with diverse people on a variety of projects keeps me going everyday. So if you have a job you need help with, or just want to chat about comics, movies or baseball, feel free to drop me a line.

  Forrst is a design community where I share work in progess with my peers. I was invited to Forrst early on and it has been great for feedback, tips and other resources.

  Flickr is a community for sharing photography, or in my case, attempts at photography. Flickr is a convenient place to reference images and keep a visual journal.

  Daily Mile is a community that encourages you to get off the couch and start exploring the world. I use Daily Mile as I train for my first 5K in November, it has been helpful for tracking progress.

  Twitter really needs no introduction, but is a great community for sharing. I use Twitter to share resources like articles, images and tips with my friends and followers.

  Tumblr is one of the premere blogging communities out there today. I use Tumblr to share anything that falls between the cracks or interests me.
